TallyUp is a math puzzle game. Each round presents you with an equation that has three or four blank tiles and a target answer. Your job is to fill in the blanks using numbers from the pool below the equation — so that the completed equation equals the target. Solve it before the timer hits zero to earn points!
Equations in TallyUp follow standard math rules of PEMDAS. This means the game evaluates your equation in this order:
For example: 2 + 3 × 4 = 14, not 20, because multiplication happens before addition.
You earn points only for correct answers. The harder the difficulty, the more points each correct answer is worth — Easy gives 1 pt, Medium 2 pts, Hard 3 pts, and Extreme 5 pts. Questions that time out or get skipped score zero. Your running points total is always visible in the top-right corner of the screen.
Each round has a countdown timer that starts as soon as the round begins. The timer ring changes colour as time runs low — turning amber when 40% of time remains and red when only 20% is left. If the timer reaches zero before you solve the equation, the round ends automatically and the correct answer is revealed briefly before the next round loads.
You can skip a round at any time by pressing New Game (skips to a fresh equation) or End Game (ends your session). Skipped rounds are logged in your session history with zero points. However, there is a short grace period at the start of each round during which skipping is not logged. This gives you time to switch difficulty or settle in without accidentally counting a question as skipped:
Switching the difficulty level during a round never counts as a skip. It simply starts a fresh round at the new level.
Tap the 📊 button in the top-right corner at any time to view your session results. The history panel shows every question attempted during the session, the difficulty level, the correct equation, whether you got it right or it was skipped, and the points earned. It also shows your overall accuracy percentage and your points percentage versus the maximum possible. If a question was logged in error, tap the ✕ on that row to remove it from your history.
